Whether it's a three-day event or a one-day barrel race, I love being there! As a rider myself, I strive to capture the perfect timing that highlights the horse and rider in the best light. I pride myself on catching more than the standard show photos!
At shows with more than 150 entries, BGY can offer high-quality video coverage of every rider to bring an extra layer of quality to your event. For shows larger than 200 entries per day, I offer the option to add on a candid photographer. If the show would like to co-sponsor the candids, we can work out a deal to have them available for free digital use for your contestants.
I grew up in the barrel racing and rodeo world and after almost 10 years of photographing equine events, fully understand how everything works and how having a photographer can enhance your whole show experience!
With almost ten years of experience photographing multi-day barrel races, fun shows, breed shows (AQHA & APHA), and ranch and reining shows, BGY Photography adds a high level of photography to remember your event with. I photograph with professional strobe lighting when photographing in dark arenas or after dark to ensure my photos are professional-grade for your exhibitors.

What does BGY Photography offer?
- High-quality show photos uploaded within 2 drags when wifi is available.
- New leader updates on my Social if results are available for immediate access.
- High-quality video available for purchase within a hour of the show ending each day.
- Free Candids (shows above 200 entries or management can pay a day rate).
- An easy-to-use website for your exhibitors and friendly service to help through purchasing!
- A set number of marketing photos/videos for management to use.
My digital image and video turnaround time is typically within 48 business hours and prints/wall art delivered within 3-5 weeks (may vary based on the mail service turnaround time).
When wifi is available at the arena, show photos will be online within two drags (yes, within two drags!) and sorted by rider name.
At 3-day events I have a booth setup with samples, business cards and more information on product offerings. While I do not currently offer on-site viewing I can have a staffed booth if there are more than 300 entries per day. I prefer to have my other photographer out photographing candids or videos so your exhibitors get the best photos possible!

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU AS SHOW MANAGEMENT WHEN BOOKING ME AS YOUR OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER:
- Willingness to support me as your only professional photographer at the event. This includes asking any professionals or other photographers that show up to shoot to put away their camera or leave. I am okay with family members photographing their family, but please understand other photographers shooting for any reason including for practice, for fun, or just for free, and posting those photos online for free usually puts me in the hole profit-wise. This is my job and unfortunately, I can not afford to shoot a show all day when someone gives out photos for free or photographs the same event as me.
- A signed contract that I will send once the dates have been agreed upon.
- Space for a booth with access to electrical outlets in a high foot traffic area.
- Promote BGY Photography online and during the show.
- Update me on time/location changes or reschedule dates.
- Printed up-to-date draw sheets before each class starts.
- Access to electrical outlets for strobes around the arena.
- Announcing when a rider has requested no flash on their run. I am not responsible for any miscommunication about a runner requesting no flash if it was not communicated to me beforehand.
What does Management get from this partnership?
Management receives 10 complimentary promo images of their choice per event at 3-day events. 1-day events receive 3 complimentary promo images of their choice per event. A package option can be arranged for one-day events or more photos per event.
Plus fastest times live updated if results are available. BGY Photography will always tag the show/producer and they are welcome to use the fastest time photos on their own Social Media at no cost.
Option to add on raw video footage for their online promo usage. Management must let BGY Photography know at booking that they'd like the add-on. Offered currently at 3-day events ONLY
